Supasaito has been working with EARTHBRAIN since late February 2024, and during this period of time, multiple projects have been finished with several significant results achieved. This time, we published the 1.5-year story covering four different projects done in partnership, detailing how a strategic shift to a modern, autonomous web ecosystem saved the client millions and transformed their digital presence.
The Challenge: High Costs and Vendor Lock-in
Prior to the collaboration, EARTHBRAIN faced common issues associated with traditional external agencies and legacy platforms, including unsustainable WordPress maintenance costs and a lack of internal control over their digital assets. For the corporate site alone, maintenance fees had exceeded ¥7M in just 16 months. Minor updates on another site, LANDLOG, cost nearly ¥2.5M over five months, creating vendor lock-in and slowing down critical marketing initiatives. The goal was clear: consolidate all websites onto a single, manageable platform and gain true digital autonomy.
The Solution: Migration, Consolidation, and Training
Supasaito partnered with EARTHBRAIN to execute an ambitious transformation, consolidating all existing websites onto the agile Webflow platform. The collaboration focused on four key areas:
- Webflow Training Program: Supasaito deployed a comprehensive 6-month Supasaito Academy plan to empower the EARTHBRAIN team, integrating Webflow with key tools like Notion, Make, and Mailchimp to establish the website as the center of a broader digital ecosystem.
- Smart Construction Landing Pages: We quickly built ten product pages in just six weeks for a major event, replacing static PDFs. Crucially, the internal EARTHBRAIN team subsequently leveraged their new skills to build 20+ additional pages in the first year alone, a scope that would have cost external vendors over ¥20M.
- LANDLOG Migration: The LANDLOG website, previously hindered by costly WordPress updates, was seamlessly rebuilt in Webflow, migrating over 100 CMS articles and instantly reducing ongoing maintenance costs to zero.
- Corporate Website Overhaul: The main corporate website was migrated, complete with bilingual localization (Japanese/English) and a full news archive transfer, eliminating a ¥7M annual maintenance retainer.
Overall Impact and Autonomy Achieved
The comprehensive migration and enablement program delivered measurable results:
- Cost Reduction: EARTHBRAIN saved over ¥30M by eliminating outdated WordPress retainers and avoiding the cost of outsourcing new page creation.
- Digital Autonomy: The internal marketing team now manages all content and sites autonomously, free from vendor lock-in.
- Cultural Shift: Website development transitioned from a cost center viewed as "just a formality" to a strategic sales and marketing tool actively driven by leadership.
