FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How much does website localization for Japan cost?
It is quoted per project, because the price follows page count, language pair and how much of your media has to be re-made rather than re-typed. For reference, our one-time build-and-migrate engagements start at ¥1,000,000 and ongoing monthly retainers at ¥300,000 — the pricing page sets out what sits in each. You get a firm number after a free consultation.
How long does a localization project take?
A straightforward bilingual site of 10–20 pages usually takes four to eight weeks from kickoff, covering translation, review with your team and QA in both languages. Sites with heavy media, a large CMS or a legal review round take longer — you get a dated plan before we start.
Do you use Webflow Localization or a manual multilingual setup?
Both — we choose per site. Webflow Localization is the cleanest option when the two languages share one structure and you want editors working in one place. When a market needs genuinely different content, pricing or pages, a manual multi-locale setup gives you that freedom. We also work with Weglot and Linguana when your stack already uses them.
Do you handle Japanese to English as well as English to Japanese?
Yes, both directions. Japanese natives localize your site for the Japanese market; English-speaking specialists take Japanese companies abroad. Each direction is written by someone who lives in the target market, rather than translated twice by the same person.
Can you keep the translations up to date after launch?
Yes. New pages, campaign landing pages and CMS entries can be translated on an ongoing basis under a monthly retainer, so the second language never falls behind the first — the most common problem we are asked to repair.
