“Supasaito” is launched as a new brand for LikePay’s web related business.

Today, LikePay Inc. has launched a new web brand “Supasaito”. From now on, under the new brand we will position ourselves as a "web company" providing web design, production, education, and consulting services focused on Webflow.

Background

LikePay, Inc. has been active in web business field since the 2nd half of 2020. In 2023 our company has become the first in Japan Webflow enterprise partner. With this new status we felt that to continue developing an impactful web business we need a new brand name, which would better reflect our services and value we provide to our clients.

Choice of the name

It took several months to decide on the new brand name. What we were aiming for was the potential brand power that comes from words relation to web industry, easy-to-understand and memorable pronunciation, and consistency of domain names and social media usernames.

“Supasaito” was a name that ticked all those boxes. The brand name is a transliteration of Japanese pronunciation of “Super Site”. It is made up of two words, with the "Saito" (as “site”) part expressing web-relatedness, and the "Supa" (as “super”) part expressing the quality of the results we aim for and the value we want to provide to our customers.

“Supasaito” as a word in Japanese language has foreign origins, but it’s pronunciation is familiar to Japanese people, and it is an easy word for foreigners to say as it has a well-balanced combination of vowels and consonants.

Fortunately, we were able to obtain the romanization of this Japanese pronunciation, “Supasaito” as a .com domain and username for most common social media platforms. Thanks to this, we were able to unify domain names and social names without compromise.

Positioning as a “web company”

SupaSaito creates value that goes beyond the scope of web design and development services commonly associated with the term of web production agency. We position ourselves as a web company to emphasize that in addition to web production services to we provide services in web education, which was a start of this business, community building, Webflow support and consulting.

Spotlight on region aspect of Harajuku, Tokyo

In several places on the newly launched website, it is written that we are based in Harajuku, Tokyo. After comming to work here and spend time in this city every day, we realized how creative and interesting Tokyo and particularly Harajuku is. The city itself has became an important source of our creative ideas. This city mixes many interesting people and cultures and we, as members of this community, want to spread this spirit and transmit in our work.

Focus on foreign market

One of the aims of our new brand is to expand globally modern Japanese design and technologies. We made our brand name easy to understand for both Japanese and foreigners with a thought of helping to connect Japan and the World with a power of technology. We believe that our international team has technical and creative potential to provide services globally and with find a demand there.

These are the thoughts and feelings that we put into our rebrand of LikePay’s web business as a new “Supasaito”. We hope to keep working with you and together achieve even higher results.
