7 Figma Plugins That Will Make Your Design Workflow Easier

This article introduces seven Figma plugins that can dramatically boost productivity for designers. Each plugin is briefly described with practical examples.

Asuka Inoda

Do you design with Figma regularly? Are you making use of plugins?

If you use Figma for your design work, you can install a wide variety of free plugins.

By simply adding the plugins I’m about to introduce, your workflow efficiency will significantly improve. I hope you find these helpful!

Here are 7 Figma plugins I personally use and recommend:

1. html.to.design

This plugin converts any published webpage into a Figma design by just pasting the URL.

For example, when you're designing and want to reference an existing website, you might usually check the fonts and CSS using browser dev tools.

Instead, with this plugin, you can convert the webpage into a Figma layout and easily inspect everything directly in Figma without dev tools.

2. Storyset by Freepik

This plugin allows you to search and insert illustrations from Storyset as SVGs directly in Figma.

Since they are SVGs, you can easily change the colors or combine them with other images. It's very versatile!

3. Unsplash

When you want to add an image to your design, do you open another tab to search for free images?

With this plugin, you can search and insert Unsplash images directly within Figma.

One great feature: place a rectangle where you want the image, right-click and select Unsplash from the plugin menu—it will automatically insert the image to fit that shape perfectly!

4. Better Font Picker

Figma doesn’t show font previews when you select fonts, right? (T ^ T)

This plugin lets you preview every font available in Figma before selecting.

If you want to preview only Japanese fonts, try the "Japanese Font Picker" plugin!

5. Mockup

If you want to create mockup-style images, you may be using a paid service for that.

With this plugin, you get access to many free mockup templates!

Simply choose a mockup device and an image—and you're good to go.

6. RemoveBG

This plugin removes backgrounds from images.

The accuracy is impressive, and it's super helpful. I highly recommend adding it to your toolkit.

7. Blobs

Ever want to add some fun, wavy, abstract shapes to your designs?

This plugin lets you randomly generate "blobby" shapes to give your designs a playful touch.

Give it a try when you need something fluid and organic!

That wraps up my list of 7 recommended plugins.

If there’s one you haven’t tried yet, go ahead and install it!

I hope this article helps improve your design workflow in Figma.
